Maya Gross
A senior yoga teacher and eternal student with over 24 years of experience. Maya teaches workshops and retreats; both in Israel and in India and Europe. She is the founder of the "Ashtanga Yoga Tel Aviv" shala (est. 2004) and coordinator of Yoga Teacher Training courses. Maya studied in Mysore with the late master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. She continues her studies with Sharath Jois and Sharmila Desai.
As part of her sadhana she leads a daily Mysore Style program in TLV since 2005. The first and longest running program in the country that respects the tradition.
Maya is a certified "body wisdom" therapist. Body wisdom is an integrative treatment method based on osteopathy, involving craniosacral therapy, trigger-point, somatic yoga among other techniques.
Maya is the Israeli ambassador of the "Yoga Gives Back" organization, for more then a decade she holds workshops and special events whose proceeds are supporting programs for woman and children of lower strata of the population
in India.
Maya delves into ancient yoga wisdom, philosophy and Buddhist traditions. She combines her inner insights as a long time student into her teachings of Ashtanga as a holistic healing path.
Maya lives in Tel Aviv with her spouse and two children.
