_Studio Guidelines:
Arrival
You should avoid heavy meals before the lesson. At the end of each lesson, you should wait about half an hour before consuming food or showering.
The studio opens 15 minutes before the start of each lesson. It is recommended that you arrive early enough to prepare for the practice and pay for the lesson if necessary. Before you start the practice, you should inform the teacher of any health problems you might have.
Clothing
You are advised to wear comfortable and stretchy clothing, like shorts and T-Shirts as well as workout leggings and vests. Avoid wearing baggy clothing and loose sleeves as they make it hard for the teacher to check if you are doing the postures correctly. You should not wear socks, watches or jewelry while practicing.
Yoga mat
You should practice on a non-slippery mat. Cotton rugs and sticky yoga mats are recommended.
Hygiene
Personal hygiene is very important when practicing yoga. You should make sure that your body, mat and clothing are clean and odorless. It is advised to shower before and after each practice.
Please avoid wearing any fragrances before each practice, including natural oils and organic creams. Fragrances are likely to intensify when your body heats up which may cause discomfort to sensitive people. Please be considerate.
Yoga and menstruation
During menstruation, women are advised to adopt a mellow approach to the practice by making minimal effort and preventing their bodies from overheating. The Mula Bandha should be applied gently and inverted postures should be avoided.
Mysore Classes
Please be silent when entering and leaving the studio before and after Mysore practices in order to avoid disturbing others. Do not enter the studio during the opening Mantra.
Practice space
Please avoid having unnecessary conversations as well as helping other students during the lesson. If a student is looking for a place and the studio is full, please be courteous and offer to move your mat to create more space. Please avoid stepping over the mat of other students when leaving and entering the studio.
